Yikes. I may be setting a dangerous precedent here. XD
I just wanted to squee happily about the new writing tablet thingy I just got yesterday - you write on ordinary paper clipped to the front, and it stores either a PDF image or a text file, depending on what you want. So you get paper AND electronic copies of what you're doing, without having to retype stuff! Woot! It'll store up to 80 pages on its own internal memory, and if I put in a memory card it'll hold a lot more. It'll even store them in different files.
Now if I could just get it to work with my laptop... hmmm. I may have to install the software for it on my housemate's computer, if it'll work on that one, and just transfer text to my Shinobi. I could live with that.

Date: 2007-01-05 07:57 am (UTC)It's just called an "A4 Size Digital Notepad", made by Medion Australia Pty Ltd. I plan to call their helpdesk next week to ask if they have or are planning any Mac software for it. The main disk just has "SOFTWARE MD 85276" and "Windows 2000 SP4 or Windows XP Home SP2 Operating System" on it, and they included "MyScript Notes Basic Edition" handwriting recognition software... which methinks is also Windows-compatible stuff. Yuri tried to make it talk to his laptop (which has text recognition software) but no dice.
:) No biggie if you can't find a way to make it work, Ed, but BIG biggie if you can! XD
