Can't start yet! November is NaNoWriMo - if I start now, that's cheating *horrified gasp* :D I'm just planning at the moment.

Ah-HA! So NaNoWriMo got you too?
*Cackles* I'm avoiding it this year. ^^;;

Oh! Still have your 'Elements of Murder' book, currently have it here and am making Ysabet read it. She says 'Hi!'. ^______^

I was considering challenging you, you know. *evil grin*

Hi, Ysabet! *coughcoughsplutterwheeze* *sigh* I hope you guys are healthier than I am right now.... hmmm. Y'know, the whole fever-and-lack-of-oxygen thing might explain why I signed up for NaNoWriMo in the first place!

I challenge you!

...you pissed off Homeland Security how, exactly?!?

*ahem* yers, well, I'd be willing to read that. :D I got the counter off the www.nanowrimo.org website, I think it was under their 'Fun Stuff' section. They've got a bunch of different ones. Enjoy!

[identity profile] mel-redcap.livejournal.com 2006-10-28 01:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Thankies! :D You doing it too?

[identity profile] tbonom.livejournal.com 2006-10-29 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm going to put my best foot forward. xD I'm actually in the middle of moving so we'll see how this works out, what with me going to have very limited net/computer access. :S May have to hand write it and then hope I have enough time to type it in for the final count. I thought about doing it the last two years, but this is the first year I've actually considered.

If you check out the NaNoWriMo forums, there are whole threads on how to do the wordcount thing if you're handwriting your novel. (Basically, they all boil down to more-or-less technological ways to, er, fudge things.) You can do it just by counting the word count on several pages, averaging them, multiplying by the number of pages you've got, and then entering the total in the 'unverified honor system wordcount' thingy.
