The quest is, technically, doable. I managed it with my paladin (after about five or six deaths) by finding a spot away from the Invisible Baby Crocodiles of Death, then working out a safe path to get there, and pallytanking the mob to death. He's tough and hits like a truck, so that's not doable by most classes; apparently at the moment most people who manage to complete it are going in with friends.

With my hunter, however, I couldn't even pet tank him due to Pet Death By Invisanomming, and when I tried to kite him over in my kind-of-safe spot I kept finding places it wasn't safe. So yes, it is broken enough that a GM will complete it for you without an argument. :P
