Having heard things in Trade, and seen the trailer - I gotta agree. And hot damn, Blizzard actually has a trailer about the players, not uber-enemy that will define the next expansion! *totally approves of this move*

and oh gods, I can't figure out of the year commitment thing will immediately hit my bank account or it's just the business as usual thing, because if it's the latter shiny-pony of awesomeness! YESSSS!

Is this neat, or is it just me? ;)

From what I've been reading, it's a 'commitment' (like a cell phone contract) rather than a 'pay for it all at once at the beginning' thing.

I see... no reason not to do this. I'm going to play WoW for another year. I'm going to play DIII. It seems to be perfect.

Same here. I'm guessing if we want the DIII collectors edition stuff we'll probably need to buy it separately anyway, but... still happy, and with the rest of what you get I'll still do it. :D

I think you're right (and thank you very much! I was incredibly unsure about this until you made an analogy I could wrap my head around!) - and also I did indeed lock myself in earlier, and they had all day to charge my credit card and they haven't.

..... see, their ebil plan is working. I personally wouldn't be going near Diablo 3, but since it'll be there and I know at least one friend who's going to play, I might try pestering him in game as well as over real id now.

First hit is free, man....

(though I'm adult enough to admit: I already buy in 6 month chunks as is. They'd get that money for wow anyway.)

And it's confirmed, if you buy the Collecters' Edition and add it to the account you used for the twelve-month thing, it pays for four months of your WoW so you aren't out financially. NICE. (And yeah, I just signed up. XD)

And apparently there isn't an uber-enemy in the next expansion - we're the problem, as in the Horde and Alliance, with our warring all over the place stirring up sentient negative energy. Or something like that. I was too busy squee-ing over the pandaren monks to take in all the details. :D Whatever, I'm stoked.

The year commitment thing apparently bills each month (woot) and Da Handsome Hubby thinks it's an excellent bargain (what with free Diablo III and all, though he's kind of ignoring the hoopy mount and beta test stuff that I'm all gleeful about), so methinks we'll be doing it. Yaaaay~!
