Well, lately a few people have been asking me when I'm going home. (Nice to know I'm missed, heehee!) And the answer is... today. Yup. I leave the exchange student dorm at 10am, and my plane (the first of three) leaves at about 4.30pm; I'll be touching down in Canberra just past 10am tomorrow.

Bleh. SERIOUS mixed feelings here. I'm happy to be going home - I want to be with my boyfriend and family and friends, see my cats, get back to my house - but somehow I can't help feeling that it would be very nice if I could go home to all that WITHOUT leaving Japan. I've had a lot of fun here, made good friends, discovered that yes friendly gaijin CAN get paid ludicrous amounts of money for just turning up at schools and playing games with children of various ages (throwing in the occasional foreign word)... Japan is FUN. Australia is a lot of fun too, but I'm greedy, okay? I want it ALLLLLLL. ^_^;;

*ahem* well. There's always holidays. People have promised to come to Australia and visit me, and I'm going to hold them to that; I've promised to come back and visit people here (and in Germany! Hi Anemone!) and I'm definitely planning to do it. And after I graduate, you never know, I might be able to come back for a short-term job... shanghai Yuri, hide him in my luggage, and bring him with me... this has possibilities. *evil snicker*

.............and I'd better get back to finishing packing if I want to be ready to go in six hours. Whee. Where's Kiki's Delivery Service when you really need everything to be magically whisked away without you having to lift a finger? Razzin' frazzin' weight limits...
