Oh boy...

Hey there...

Everything's going just peachy here in Japan, but back at home in Canberra, Australia, my housemates have been evacuated and my home is currently threatened by major bushfires. Oh boy oh boy oh boy... and we thought LAST year was bad!

You can check out http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2003/01/19/1042911262050.html for a look at what's going on. It's the worst bushfire season in Canberra's history, and a state of emergency has been declared.

Well, my housemates are out and safe, they took the cats and the dog with them, and so far it looks like my house is OK... *sigh* hopefully, the situation there will keep improving.

Watching the news is really scary... nightmarish images and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Christy & her hubby are safe AND will stay safe (together with the menagerie) and the house too... sure it's material... and insured but I just hope everything will stay intact for your return...

Hay i know how you feel! this year colorado had some of the worst firs ever! and on top of that we'er in the middle of a 5 year drought! there was smoke everywere!! and still no rain in sight. the state is going to start cuting water useag down again this year! hope your house is ok!
