melredcap...and we need more rape-free fiction. Seriously.
HERE you will find her account of a question she got from a... person, let's leave it at that, and her very classy and restrained response to said question, and her declaration that she will Never Do That To Her Characters. If you're like many of the (hundreds! ye gods!) of commenters so far, you may be very very tired of the amount of rape-as-character-development and rape-as-backstory that shows up in Urban Fantasy and other fiction, and you might be happy to know that Seanan's books will never blindside you with it.
There y'go. Don't say I never tell you anything good. (By the way, Seanan also writes awesome zombie-filled novels under the name Mira Grant, and I'm pretty sure all her stuff is available on Amazon. Just sayin'.)
