I'M GOING BALD.
Feb. 19th, 2005 11:58 pm*heh*
To be more accurate, I'm going to shave my head for charity. Since the last time I cut my hair (apart from trims for neatness' sake, and cutting my fringe) was 15 years ago, there's rather a lot of it and this is going to be one heck of a change. I'm taking this as an excuse to play with my hair before it's all gone, too; I've already bleached a wide streak into it (and discovered I like the effect, so I plan to repeat it after it grows back). Next week I turn redhead. The week after that, I'm going multicoloured and fluorescent. The week after *that*, out come the clippers.
The charity involved is the Leukaemia Foundation. It seemed like a good idea, since I've lost two family members to cancer, know three people with cancer (one of whom was given two months to live five years ago and is still going strong, go him!), know *of* several other people with cancer, and my mother and best friend have both had close calls. And while this is an Australian charity, and most people reading this probably aren't Aussies, I figure that it's a universal thing.
So... if anyone wants to sponsor me...
go to https://secure.worldsgreatestshave.com/wgs/pages/frm_sponsor.asp and enter Shaver No. 79129. You can read all about the event and charity at http://www.worldsgreatestshave.com .
There will be pictures later! ^_^
