Hubby just nearly burned down the house. AGH.

Note to Hubby: darling, I love you, and if you want to take the opportunity when I'm out of the house to cook things I don't like and watch movies that I don't want to, go right ahead. It's an excellent idea.

Just don't try to do them at the same time. Because today you tried that, and you had the frying pan on the gas on High, and you went to watch stuff, and you didn't just forget to turn it down, you forgot it was ON. And then you took a nap.

Which led to me coming home to discover one frying pan with its contents on the verge of bursting into flames, the house FULL of smoke despite the exhaust fan going full bore, panicking cats, YOU snoring happily away at the other end of the house -- oh, and the smoke alarm not working, because you forgot to reconnect it after the last time you grilled marinated steak.

The house reeks. I reek. That frying pan -- the good frying pan, I note -- is probably ruined. Your cat is acting like she requires therapy. And I would really like you to live long enough for us to have at least a few more anniversaries, y'know?

Questions answered in the sticky will not be re-answered elsewhere, so that we can spend more time actually writing the stuff you guys want to read. :)
